Job Overview

Position Summary: The role involves gathering essential information necessary for confirming appointments for outpatient services directly from patients and referring physician offices. The individual will also be tasked with collecting vital demographic and financial details to establish a comprehensive registered account for scheduled visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical necessity assessments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Collect insurance copayments and ensure prior approvals are in place when required.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the ordering physician's office and various departments within Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of six months of relevant experience in a similar role is required.
  • Strong communication skills are preferred.
  • Proficiency in calculator usage is necessary.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Availability to work on weekends is required.
  • Must be capable of performing a full range of physical activities, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds is essential.

Work Schedule: Every Other Saturday, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
