Position Overview

The Culinary Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and guiding staff involved in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals for patients and cafeteria services. This role requires comprehensive access to patient health information through specialized software systems.

Work Schedule: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM; Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor team members engaged in food service operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Utilize Cerner and CBORD software for operational tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food service operations and supervisory skills.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in a supervisory role within a healthcare food service environment.
  • Must possess Serve Safe Certification.
  • Certified Dietary Manager certification is required or must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary for completing work orders and data entry in applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to endure varying temperatures while working in different food storage areas.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Food Service Director or their designated representative.
