Job Title: Patient Services Representative

At PRISM Vision Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute patient scheduling for optimal patient experience while maintaining office efficiency.
  • Manage patient access check-in/check-out workflows to facilitate positive impressions and address concerns.
  • Verify insurance information, benefits, and referral requirements to ensure access to care.
  • Obtain and validate patient identification and coverage information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve patient concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinicians to schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and demographic information.
  • Reconcile collections and transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and clear patient work queues to ensure data integrity and prompt billing.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) with experience in patient-facing healthcare or hospitality customer service.
  • Working knowledge of medical symptoms, signs, and anatomical systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with bi-lingual skills a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in multiple electronic systems.
Work Environment:

Our office environment is controlled, but you may be exposed to staff or patients with communicable diseases and blood-borne pathogens.
