Patient Service Coordinator

MedStar Health is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to support our medical practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing patient intake, screening for emergent conditions, and coordinating efficient patient flow through our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the initial contact person for patients, providing a courteous and professional greeting.
• Manage patient intake, including registration, verification, and explanation of patient responsibility for payment.
• Perform check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate input of patient charges and demographic information.
• Coordinate patient flow through the practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
• Support organization initiatives related to modern technology, clinical programs, and improving the patient experience.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience providing high-quality customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• ICD 9 and 10 Code Experience preferred.
