Key Responsibilities:

  • Precisely layout and install conduit and control wiring in accordance with NEC standards and company protocols.
  • Supervise and collaborate with assistants as necessary.
  • Ensure high-quality installations while maximizing efficiency.
  • Install control components and accessories for HVAC units as provided by the manufacturer.
  • Label control components following company guidelines.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the installation supervisor regarding project status and requirements.
  • Document daily activities and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Complete work order and change order documentation as needed.
  • Assist in procuring necessary materials for installation.
  • Create as-built drawings to reflect completed work.
  • Participate in job meetings as required.
  • Coordinate efforts with other trades involved in the project.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and tools provided.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of local building codes.
  • Strong understanding of installation tools, techniques, and devices.
  • Proficient in installing electrical conduit.
  • Experience with copper piping for instrumentation support.
  • Familiarity with control submittal packages.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and submittals accurately.
  • Competence in reading product submittals and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong command of technical terminology related to automation and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on collaborative solutions.
  • Commitment to project completion and quality standards.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Skilled in interpreting blueprints, wiring schematics, and control drawings.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  1. Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. of tools or materials.
  2. Ability to stand, bend, and kneel as necessary.
  3. Comfortable working at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.
  4. Capable of loading and unloading materials for projects and maneuvering them in challenging environments.
  5. Familiarity with safe operation of tools such as hammer drills.
  6. Work environments may vary from outdoor settings to indoor utility facilities.
