Key Responsibilities:
- Precisely layout and install conduit and control wiring in accordance with NEC standards and project specifications.
- Supervise and guide assistants as necessary.
- Ensure high-quality installations with optimal efficiency.
- Install control components and HVAC unit accessories as provided by the manufacturer.
- Label control components according to company protocols.
- Maintain open communication with the installation supervisor regarding project status and requirements.
- Document daily activities and communicate effectively with team members.
- Complete necessary work order and change order documentation.
- Assist in sourcing installation materials as needed.
- Create as-built drawings for project documentation.
- Participate in job meetings as required.
- Coordinate efforts with other trades involved in the project.
- Maintain company vehicle and tools in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of installation tools and techniques.
- Ability to install electrical conduit and copper piping for instrumentation.
- Familiarity with control submittal packages and project specifications.
- Strong understanding of product submittals and wiring diagrams.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on collaborative solutions.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving materials as needed.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel as required.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.
- Capable of loading and unloading materials on job sites, often in challenging conditions.
- Familiarity with safe operation of tools such as hammer drills.
- Work environments may vary from outdoor conditions to standard office settings.
