Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently layout and install conduit and control wiring in accordance with NEC standards and project specifications.
  • Supervise and collaborate with assistants as necessary.
  • Ensure high-quality installations while maximizing efficiency.
  • Install control components and accessories for HVAC units as specified.
  • Label control components according to company protocols.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the installation supervisor regarding project status and requirements.
  • Document daily activities and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Complete necessary work order and change order documentation.
  • Assist in procuring installation materials as needed.
  • Create as-built drawings for completed installations.
  • Participate in job meetings as required.
  • Coordinate efforts with other trades on-site.
  • Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of local building codes.
  • Proficient in installation tools, techniques, and equipment.
  • Ability to install electrical conduit and copper piping for instrumentation.
  • Understanding of control submittal packages and project specifications.
  • Familiarity with product submittals and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong command of technical terminology related to automation and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  1. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving materials on job sites.
  2. Ability to stand, bend, and kneel as necessary.
  3. Comfortable working at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.
  4. Ability to load and unload materials and maneuver them in challenging environments.
  5. Familiarity with safe operation of power tools and equipment.
  6. Work conditions may vary from outdoor environments to standard office settings.
