Insight Global is looking for a skilled Technician to support various clients. This role involves working with facilities such as healthcare institutions, transportation hubs, and manufacturing plants. You will receive onsite guidance to familiarize yourself with the systems, but a solid background in HVAC mechanics is essential, along with experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Comprehensive training will be provided to help you master the company's specific software and operational protocols, but candidates should possess a foundational understanding of BAS.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure field and network-level controller software. Conduct commissioning and system diagnostics for all types of system controllers and associated devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) while completing all necessary commissioning documentation.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Perform administrative duties, including time tracking, expense reporting, and onsite documentation.
  • Record modifications and contribute to as-built documentation.
  • Participate in company-sponsored and self-initiated training to maintain a high level of expertise and capability.
  • Collaborate with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their systems and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience with BAS technologies, including brands like Honeywell, Siemens, Tridium, and Trane.
  • Understanding of BAS logic and graphical interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including their sequences and applications in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Proven technical skills in mechanical and electro-mechanical disciplines.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as multimeters.
  • Experience in fieldwork with clients, including installation or service tasks.
