Senior Accountant Position Overview

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Ensure adherence to GAAP standards.
  • Develop, assess, reconcile, and record journal entries assigned to specific accounts within the ERP system.
  • Generate timely, precise, and comprehensive account reconciliations along with accurate journal entries integrated into the financial systems.
  • Verify the correctness of balances, figures, calculations, and postings, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for all deliverables, especially month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare daily cash flow reports and forecasts.
  • Identify inaccuracies and recommend improvements.
  • Comprehend, suggest, and independently implement internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and tax assessments.
    • Provide backup support for functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, and payroll.
    • Comply with all standards of integrity and adhere to company policies and procedures.
    • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices, and procedures in both manual and automated environments.
  • Diligent with a strong sense of enthusiasm, personal drive, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
