Key Responsibilities- Operations Management: Manage all areas of restaurant operations, including marketing, human resources, and inventory control, to ensure seamless execution of our business strategy.
- Financial Management: Establish and manage budgets for food, paper, and cleaning supplies, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and within budget.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Work with corporate to establish staffing levels based on sales projections and forecasting, and prepare schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive guest experience by interacting with customers, addressing concerns, and ensuring 100% satisfaction.
- Team Development: Train, develop, and coach team members to improve performance and achieve business objectives.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory efficiently, accurately, and cost-effectively to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Marketing and Promotions: Adhere to marketing objectives by executing marketing windows and promoting our brand.
- Safety and Security: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Business Development: Drive sales growth, improve steps of service, and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Enforce applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines.
- Human Resources: Oversee hiring and onboarding processes, including reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring.
- Employee Engagement: Create a fun, safe environment by following our core values and operational goals, and implementing contests, theme nights, and incentives for staff.
- A minimum 5 years prior restaurant management experience.
- Excellent people management skills, including resolving conflict, coaching, and developing others.
- Certification in Servsafe and Food Safety Handler Certification (or within 30 days of hiring).
- Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certification required (or within 30 days of hiring).
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong catering and events background.
- Knowledge of business financials, forecasting, budgeting, and P&L reports.
- Experience with bar service and knowledge of state and local liquor laws.
- Understanding of labor, inventory, and waste management.
- Great verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time while performing with quality and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a large team and develop other management staff.
- Adhere to a schedule that includes an average of 55+ hours per week and rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to cover shifts as needed, even when not previously scheduled.
- Adhere to company uniform and appearance policy.
The physical demands for this position include seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
