Environmental Project Coordinator

Position Overview:
NESC Staffing is seeking a qualified *Project Manager* to oversee our *Environmental Team*. This role is essential in managing client communications from the initial stages through the completion of agreements and beyond. The successful candidate will liaise with the Resource Center Manager and Account Manager to ensure project status and performance are effectively communicated.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for the technical oversight of projects, providing expert support for remediation and engineering initiatives across various sectors. This includes:
- Monitoring the technical and financial aspects of projects from proposal through to completion.
- Conducting technical reviews for environmental assessments, remedial strategies, and due diligence projects across New England.
- Delivering both formal and informal training to project staff, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to technical and contractual standards.
- Identifying potential risk factors and implementing preventative measures to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field. A master's degree is advantageous. The following experience is required:
- A minimum of 6 years in relevant fields, including at least 1 year in project management.
- Proficiency in soil and groundwater remediation, remedial evaluations, and site investigations.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher training.
- A valid driver's license and personal transportation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and enterprise/accounting software.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to mentoring junior staff.
Preferred Skills:
Candidates with licensure as a New Hampshire Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist are strongly preferred. Knowledge of state regulations regarding petroleum storage and contaminated site management is beneficial. Experience with Deltek enterprise software and GIS applications is also a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 annually
Benefits: Includes 401(k) matching, dental and health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, professional development assistance, and tuition reimbursement.
Work Schedule: Standard 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience Requirement: 6 years in Environmental Engineering required.
License/Certification: Driver's License and Professional Engineer certification required.
Relocation Requirement: Candidates must be willing to relocate as necessary.
