Position Overview: NESC Staffing is seeking a skilled *Project Manager* to oversee our *Environmental Team*. This role involves representing the company in client communications from the initial phase through the entirety of the project lifecycle and beyond. The successful candidate will maintain regular contact with the Resource Center Manager and Account Manager regarding project status and performance, while also managing the project team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the technical and financial aspects of projects from proposal to completion, ensuring quality support for investigation and remediation design and implementation across various sectors.
  • Conduct technical reviews for environmental assessments, remedial actions, and due diligence projects across diverse environmental project types throughout the region.
  • Provide both formal and informal training to project staff, ensuring overall client satisfaction and adherence to technical and contractual obligations.
  • Identify potential loss prevention issues, inform management, and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 1 year in project management, is essential.
  • Experience in soil and groundwater remediation, remedial alternatives evaluations, and multimedia site investigations is required.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher training are necessary.
  • A valid Driver's license and personal transportation are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise/accounting software is expected.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to mentoring junior staff and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams are crucial.

Preferred Experience:

  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Geologist in New Hampshire is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with New Hampshire petroleum storage tank regulations and hazardous waste site investigation and remediation processes is beneficial.
  • Experience with Deltek enterprise software and other relevant software tools such as GIS is advantageous.
  • Active participation in professional societies and educational programs is encouraged.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 annually

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Professional Engineer (Preferred)

Commute Requirement: Must be able to commute to the designated work location.

Relocation Requirement: Must be willing to relocate before starting work.

Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel up to 25% is preferred.
