Job Overview:

Sunrise Systems Inc is seeking a proficient Project Manager to oversee a significant initiative known as the Business Services Portal (BSP). This role demands a strong technical background to ensure the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Economic Development, collaborating closely with the Department of Information Technology. The BSP is a statewide project aimed at providing a unified access point to government services for the business community.
  • This position involves working alongside the vendor tasked with the development and implementation of the BSP, ensuring that the project adheres to timelines and that all relevant state agencies are actively engaged in the process.
  • Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for communicating project metrics, deadlines, and successes to stakeholders, partners, and agency staff.
  • Overseeing the creation and implementation of procedures and protocols to guarantee the successful delivery of this complex project is also a critical aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, or a related field is preferred. Additional years of specialized education may substitute for work experience.

Experience:

A minimum of seven years in systems analysis with a comprehensive understanding of business environments, particularly in software development or maintenance. At least three years should involve direct participation in application or product lifecycle management.

Special Requirements:

Candidates must have at least three years of experience managing project lifecycles and be proficient in MS Office and project management software.

  • Strong ability to coordinate diverse teams and facilitate collaboration.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting information and making informed recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with various stakeholders effectively.

  • Experience in managing digital experience or CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements and security compliance standards.
  • Experience with third-party integrations and API functionalities.
