Position Overview

The E3 Engineer will provide direct support to the Aircraft Carrier Ship Design Managers and Warfare System Engineering Manager. This role is essential as the primary authority on Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) for systems integrated into aircraft carriers. Some travel may be required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal expert in E3 for systems aboard aircraft carriers.
  • Offer technical guidance and evaluate risks associated with technical decisions for Aircraft Carrier Ship Design Managers and System Engineering Manager.
  • Conduct engineering evaluations, research, and problem-solving based on operational experience with Nimitz and Ford Class carriers. Respond to requests for technical assistance or adjudication through various channels.
  • Participate in and coordinate technical approval processes for Ship Alterations and Technical Assessment Team reviews.
  • Review Technical Feedback Reports related to Planned Maintenance System changes requiring designated technical oversight.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Over 4 years of experience in E3 Engineering.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy or Coast Guard vessels.
  • Strong technical and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with U.S. Navy Nuclear Powered Vessels.
  • Background in shipyard operations or related naval warfare centers.
  • Experience collaborating with program managers in an engineering capacity.
  • Knowledge of warfare systems.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must hold a current and active U.S. Government Secret Security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues and clients, including delivering presentations.
  • Regular use of computers and office productivity equipment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200, influenced by factors such as relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and education. ManTech also offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
