Zachary Piper Solutions is in search of a RF/EW Engineer and Policy Specialist to contribute to a significant government initiative. This role is fully onsite in Washington, DC, and the RF/EW Engineer and Policy Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Exports office of a military program.
**Please note that applicants must possess an active TS/SCI clearance**
Key Responsibilities for the RF/EW Engineer and Policy Specialist:
- Provide expert technical support and guidance on RF/EW and IR/EO systems/platforms.
- Compose defense position documents and decision memoranda for the export of related systems/platforms.
- Evaluate and authorize export license applications in accordance with DoD directives.
- Act as a representative for the program office at various government, DoD, and industry gatherings.
- Support the Program/Deputy Program Manager in daily operations, including assistance with technology/system integration.
Qualifications for the RF/EW Engineer and Policy Specialist:
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Mid-career to senior-level proficiency in radar technology or export policy/controls is required.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic systems, active electronically scanned arrays, and components such as power amplifiers.
- Experience in delivering technical support to DoD entities, inter-agency groups, and joint service committees.
- Ability to organize and facilitate meetings, events, and working groups involving services, industry, or government agencies.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, with proficiency in compiling reports, preparing presentations, and providing technical summaries and recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: A degree is not mandatory, but relevant experience in radio technology and systems is expected.
Compensation for the RF/EW Engineer and Policy Specialist:
- Salary: $160k-$215k (varies based on experience and level of openings)
