Your Role

As a Front Desk Manager at Placemakr, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and seamless environment for our team members while overseeing front-of-house operations. Your leadership will be essential in guiding your Guest Experience team towards success, promoting a culture of high performance and accountability. We are looking for individuals who embody Placemakr's Community Norms, excel in mentoring team members, and are passionate about enhancing the operational success of our front desk. As a key member of our on-site property team and a future leader, you will represent our Property Team Mission in every interaction with guests and team members, setting a positive tone and driving departmental goals to ensure our guests enjoy exceptional experiences.

This role requires flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a rotational schedule.

Your Daily Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests, residents, and partners, establishing yourself as a trusted resource and local expert.
  • Encourage a collaborative team spirit by working effectively with all property team members to create a supportive work environment.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant atmosphere for both team members and guests by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Spend the majority of your time actively managing daily operations, supporting your front desk team, and assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
  • Conduct regular audits of team members' processes to ensure compliance with company standards and provide constructive feedback.
  • Lead by example to help your team achieve Placemakr's standards for excellence, including employee engagement and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Resolve escalated guest issues autonomously and promptly, utilizing sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Train new hires on service and operational standards, sharing best practices to foster continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the daily management of the Guest Experience team, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Manage inventory tracking and departmental expenditures in alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in customer service roles within hospitality, retail, or similar fields.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership position, demonstrating the ability to guide guest-facing team members.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
  • Experience in scheduling, performance management, and interviewing in accordance with company standards.
  • Proven ability to resolve guest issues effectively and independently.
  • Experience providing constructive feedback to team members in a supportive manner.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively, contributing to a culture of communication and support.

  • Physical capability to perform the role, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
