Position Overview


The Head of Sales is accountable for driving new business initiatives and enhancing existing client relationships to optimize revenue and profitability.

This role will also support the Sales and Marketing Director in overseeing and inspiring sales managers to maximize their effectiveness and surpass individual sales targets in their designated markets.


Compensation Range:
$140,000 - $145,000.00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage all functions of the Sales Department.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s sales policies.
  • Design and implement an ongoing sales training program for the sales team.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to align team objectives.
  • Support and monitor the initiatives and activities of Sales Managers in their respective territories.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual budget and marketing strategy; continuously monitor the effectiveness of the group sales action plan.
  • Ensure the achievement of sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Leverage Accor's business travel programs effectively.
  • Actively engage in RevMax meetings and provide insights for revenue optimization strategies.
  • Participate in ongoing monthly business reviews with all accounts.
  • Drive the team’s goal of increasing REVPAR and market share.
  • Engage in trade shows, sales missions, and promotional events related to business travel.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts, contacts, activities, and business details using appropriate software.
  • Collaborate closely with Reservations and Front Office to ensure all contractual details are fulfilled and guests leave satisfied.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Balance operational, administrative, and team needs effectively.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience, particularly in corporate travel and account acquisition.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications and relevant software.
  • A university or college degree is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
  • Must effectively convey information and ideas.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select among alternative courses of action.
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Proficient in identifying, preventing, and resolving workplace issues.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt it to meet specific needs.
  • Effective at listening to and clarifying concerns raised by colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to work with financial data and perform basic arithmetic functions.
