The Position

We are looking for a Head of Corporate Strategy to spearhead our mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives. This pivotal role encompasses the complete corporate development lifecycle, from pinpointing potential acquisition targets and nurturing strategic relationships to conducting thorough due diligence, negotiating agreements, and managing post-acquisition integration. As the Head of Corporate Strategy, you will leverage your extensive industry expertise to identify lucrative opportunities and guide negotiations towards favorable outcomes that align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish a robust M&A framework.
  • Assist in developing Inspira's M&A pipeline and facilitate the execution of corporate strategies for the leadership team and Board of Directors.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of market dynamics and competitive trends to identify and source strategic partnerships and acquisition prospects.
  • Support the growth of existing and new business segments through comprehensive analytical evaluations of current operations and market entry strategies.
  • Create compelling business cases utilizing both external market research and internal insights, along with well-defined assumptions and scenarios.
  • Prepare closing documentation for transactions and coordinate with the finance team and executive leadership.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers, including accounting and legal firms, to support the M&A process.
  • Lead valuation and deal structuring efforts while managing due diligence, closing, and integration processes, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial modeling and acquisition structuring to support long-term strategic planning.
  • Manage a business development associate and coordinate outreach to cultivate and maintain a pipeline of potential M&A targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including roles in private equity, venture capital, or corporate development.
  • Experience in startup environments is essential.
  • Background in education is advantageous.
  • Consulting experience with a focus on strategy and financial analysis is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and manage legal documentation related to investments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Experience working with business unit leaders to identify and address operational gaps.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Capacity to work independently and lead strategic discussions internally and externally.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying complex concepts to executives.
