Role Overview:

The Housing Stability Case Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering services and housing support to participants in our Family Housing Program and Housing Stabilization Program. The Family Housing Program assists families during their initial year in public housing, while the Housing Stabilization Program offers a rapid rehousing model for families experiencing homelessness. This position utilizes various service modalities, including Housing First, Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing, to effectively support clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and engage in community outreach.
  • Provide case management services, assisting clients with housing navigation and retention.
  • Connect clients to income resources and public benefits.
  • Facilitate landlord recruitment and mediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and service providers.
  • Accompany participants to appointments as necessary.
  • Ensure participant voices are prioritized in program development.
  • Coordinate wrap-around services with community partners.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with grant guidelines.
  • Develop safety plans to enhance participant well-being.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A valid driver's license and state-mandated automobile insurance are required.

Preferred: Familiarity with housing market trends and experience working with homeless populations.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility, including some evenings and weekends. The role involves travel within the community to provide essential services.

Compensation:

Salary range: $21.00-$23.00/hr, with a comprehensive benefits package.
