About the Role

HULK, a leading innovator in advanced cable and sand protection, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll play a pivotal part in designing and qualifying the next generation of tools that empower our customers to maximize oil and gas well production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems and components, conducting analysis to evaluate the mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to team members in design, manufacturing, and operation.
  • Engineering Calculations: Generate layouts and detailed engineering calculations for new and modified equipment designs.
  • Design Reviews: Actively participate in development design reviews and make recommendations.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Lead the assembly and lab testing of prototypes for product qualification.
  • Documentation: Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria for evaluating equipment and technical MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) for the operations team.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot field-related challenges and provide best practices for field operation.
  • Change Management: Initiate, check, and approve change notices, test requests, and write test reports.
  • Project Leadership: Work with minimum supervision and capable of leading a project.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a strong safety and environmental compliance focus.
  • Travel: Travel to field locations to support engineering testing as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years (10 years or greater preferred) of experience in new product development.
  • Experience: Experience in the design of gas production and separation tools and other downhole completion Oil and Gas Tools is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical design and engineering practices, both practical and analytical. Knowledge of the material selection of metals, seals, and standard hardware. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, i.e. casting, machining, heat treating, and fabrication along with the assembly process.
  • Software: Experience with 3D modeling software. SolidWorks is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including JIRA, SAP, Net Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Project Management: General knowledge of project management, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is executed both in an office setting and in industrial sites. When involved in the execution of projects, working 8-hour shifts for a week, or so may be required.
  • At industrial sites may be required to carry equipment (up to 50 pounds), climb stairs and ladders, work in inclement weather, and be on one's feet for an extended period of time.
