Job Description

Job Summary:

Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading complex mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Represent the engineering department and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Design and Development: Create and maintain detailed engineering designs, including crane general arrangement drawings and steel structure calculations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all engineering deliverables meet the required quality standards and are compliant with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering department.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in project leadership and technical expertise.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
