Job Overview:
The Lead Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in executing the monthly closing procedures for both divisional and corporate entities.

This position involves reviewing and preparing journal entries, analyzing and publishing financial reports, leading various projects, and mentoring other members of the Finance Department.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and publish financial reports for multiple divisions with varying product lines.

2. Conduct research on inventory costs and provide monthly cost analysis.

3. Review reporting for discrepancies, document problem areas, and suggest solutions.

4. Assist with D365 ERP system inquiries, providing support to all divisions.

5. Manage assigned projects, ensuring that goals and timelines are achieved.

6. Evaluate established processes for potential efficiencies.

7. Maintain subsidiary ledgers, including fixed asset management and lease accounting.

8. Mentor Finance team members to enhance their expertise.

9. Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• A minimum of three years of accounting experience is necessary.

• Experience in a distribution or manufacturing setting is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft D365 is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.

• A mindset focused on continuous improvement.

• Proven ability to lead projects and teams.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills at both strategic and operational levels.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the position.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
