Position Overview:

The Senior Accounting Specialist will be responsible for generating precise monthly financial reports, supporting budget development, and conducting variance analysis. This role requires collaboration with various teams and leadership to maintain the accuracy of financial documentation.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • Ideally 2-3 years of experience in an accounting position focused on financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrates accountability for tasks and responsibilities
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly financial reports and communicate findings across multiple operating units
  • Investigate and address discrepancies in general ledger accounts
  • Assist in the formulation of annual budgets and track performance against set goals
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Compile quarterly and annual tax and compliance documentation
  • Execute other related duties as assigned
