JOB SUMMARY
At The Ladders, we are committed to innovation and excellence in the finance sector. We are seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our cost accounting processes and ensuring compliance with established accounting principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cost accounting framework within our ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cost Accounting Management
    • Develop and uphold robust cost accounting practices across relevant departments.
    • Establish and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), routing, labor, and overhead rates.
    • Analyze fixed costs, including salaries and rent, while also forecasting variable costs such as raw materials and operational expenses.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of actual versus estimated costs, identifying discrepancies and reporting variances.
    • Prepare comprehensive budgeting reports for departmental and company-wide use.
    • Enhance financial controls to ensure accurate management of assets and accounts.
    • Become proficient in the ERP system, addressing transactional issues and leading system improvements.
  • Accounting Support
    • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
    • Support month-end closing processes, ensuring account accuracy and reconciliation.
    • Prepare various financial reports and accounting statements.
    • Assist with tax form submissions to relevant government agencies.
    • Provide necessary documentation for annual audits.
    • Engage in various projects as required, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in cost accounting is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, with a preference for Microsoft Business Central.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
