Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes project objectives, timelines, and deliverables that align with organizational goals, collaborating closely with senior leadership; proactively manages alterations in project scope, foresees potential challenges, and formulates contingency strategies; articulates success metrics and communicates them to all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develops and implements best practices and methodologies for project execution and oversight, ensuring that policies and procedures are effectively communicated and understood across the organization.
  • Monitors project progress and execution; prepares and delivers status reports to management.
  • Sets standards and expectations through effective communication with end users.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with department heads and senior leadership to ensure project alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Participates in and contributes to progress meetings.
  • Acts as a leader within the community of practice and serves as a trainer for Simmons Bank Standards and related governance documents.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to this role, including completion of mandatory compliance training.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as procedural manuals, business correspondence, and governmental regulations.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information in both individual and small group settings, to clients, management, board members, and the general public.
  • Skilled in managing processes and personnel, even when those individuals and activities are not directly under their organizational authority.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, and
  • Over 5 years of relevant work experience, on-the-job training, or vocational training;
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial products, industry best practices, and regulatory standards for model risk management;
  • PMP certification is highly preferred.

Computer Proficiency

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet Software.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Project Management Professional certification is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong skills in time management, oral and written communication, and presentation.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, judgment, motivation, reliability, project management, and analytical capabilities.
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
