Role Overview:

As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in expanding MAZO's clientele and revenue through the promotion of commercial financing products. Your primary responsibilities will include prospecting and generating originations via direct engagement with end-users and vendor partnerships. You will be tasked with identifying, researching, qualifying, and finalizing financing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads and identify potential small business clients.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of equipment financing transactions.
  • Conduct research on prospective clients to understand their business requirements.
  • Initiate contact with potential clients through various communication channels.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, serving as the main point of contact throughout the financing journey.
  • Structure, negotiate, and finalize equipment finance loan agreements.
  • Collaborate effectively with credit, syndication, and funding teams.
  • Assist the Business Development team in their efforts to increase transaction volume.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives as set by management.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, eager to learn and grow within the sales profession. A successful Sales Associate will demonstrate a strong ability to motivate themselves and others, possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred BA/BS degree.
  • 1-3+ years of relevant work experience or internships.
  • 1+ year of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting revenue targets.
  • Ability to independently assess business opportunities and understand prospective buyers.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce CRM is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to be coached and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
