Role Overview

As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in expanding MAZO's clientele and revenue through the promotion of commercial financing solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include prospecting and driving originations via direct engagement with end-users and vendor partnerships. You will be tasked with identifying, researching, qualifying, and successfully closing financing opportunities.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Engage in lead generation and prospecting efforts targeting small businesses.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of equipment financing transactions.
  • Conduct research on potential clients to understand their business requirements.
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through various communication channels.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, serving as the main point of contact throughout the financing journey.
  • Structure, negotiate, and finalize equipment finance loan agreements.
  • Collaborate effectively with credit, syndication, and funding teams.
  • Assist the Business Development team in their efforts to increase transaction volume.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives as set by management.

Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 1-3+ years of relevant work experience or internships are required.
  • A minimum of 1 year in sales or experience managing a revenue target with a proven record of high performance is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess business opportunities and understand prospective buyers.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and collaborate with others.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce CRM is advantageous.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Open to coaching and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
