As a Field Sales Representative specializing in Trench Safety at United Rentals, you will be the primary contact for our clients regarding underground trench safety equipment rentals and supplies. Your clientele will include contractors from various sectors, including industrial and commercial construction. Your sales drive and commitment will be essential in boosting branch revenue while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize revenue generation from construction sites within a designated geographical area.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with current clients and their subsidiaries, serving as their main point of contact.
  • Provide demonstrations and training on available Trench Safety products to customers.
  • Reach out to potential clients to arrange demonstrations and site visits.
  • Develop strategic sales action plans.
  • Collaborate with general rentals representatives to enhance cross-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct Competent Person Training and Confined Space Training sessions.
  • Assist in the installation of equipment and coordinate with personnel as needed.
  • Utilize Sales and other CRM tools to build a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of sales experience.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Certification in Competent Person Training and Confined Space is required.
  • Familiarity with construction, trench safety, or related equipment is advantageous; however, candidates with relevant industry experience and proven sales success will also be considered.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

This position offers a competitive base salary along with monthly commissions based on performance metrics.

During the onboarding and training phase, a minimum monthly guarantee incentive will be provided.

This role is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies.
