About the RoleBEC is in search of a seasoned Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization with insight and vision.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will hold comprehensive responsibility for the execution of all initiatives, operational strategies, and the expansion of BEC.
The CEO will drive organizational advancement and will oversee BEC's development, operational, and financial functions. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership attributes and prior experience in executive management within the non-profit sector. The CEO will exhibit a diplomatic and inspiring management style, fostering collaboration throughout the organization.This individual should have previous experience in fundraising and the capability to cultivate and sustain donor relationships, identify potential supporters, and secure contributions.
BEC, like many organizations, has adapted to recent changes in the professional environment. We seek a progressive and optimistic leader who is enthusiastic about guiding the organization through necessary evolutions.Oversee the formulation of the annual operational budget and track monthly performance against budgeted goals.
Ensure financial health, compliance, and accountability to the board and funding sources.
Provide leadership and engagement in fundraising and resource development activities; nurture, build, and sustain lasting relationships with current and prospective public, private, individual, corporate, foundation, and other funding entities.
Serve as a key advisor and collaborator with Board members to enhance their effectiveness in resource development roles.Manage a portfolio of top-tier donors and prospects.
Expand and diversify revenue streams.
Strategy and Program Development
Design, implement, monitor, and refine program objectives to ensure long-term mission viability, innovation, and growth in services.
Empower staff to create, organize, and deliver comprehensive, high-quality programs adhering to the highest standards of professional practice. Engage industry experts to develop curricula and other resources as needed.
Ensure the quality of services provided by evaluating programs, services, and policies; monitor participation and solicit feedback from key staff, thought leaders, clients, and program participants.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking; implement a system for monitoring and reporting this data.
Oversee the negotiation of agreements with program partners.
Community RelationsAct as the primary public advocate and spokesperson for BEC to actively and effectively represent its objectives to supporters, clients, government officials, and foundations to generate enthusiasm and attract broad interest and support.
Enhance the visibility and public awareness of the organization through the development and management of a sustainable marketing and public relations strategy targeting key stakeholders and community partners.
Governance and Human Resource DevelopmentEffectively oversee all human resource functions, ensuring that policies and procedures comply with current laws and regulations.
Attract and retain top talent; maintain a dynamic, creative, and productive team through mentoring, leadership development, and delegation in a collaborative culture.
Provide direct supervision of key personnel as appropriate.Oversee the recruitment and ongoing employment of all staff; clarify assignments and set the tone for professional practice and behavior; facilitate communication within the team.
Ensure compliance with all agency-required licensing, certifications, and accreditations.
Develop, implement, and monitor an agency risk management plan, including coordination with legal counsel as necessary.
Engage the board of directors in critical thinking, strategic planning, and resource/financial positioning to further BEC's mission.
Serve as a liaison between staff and board members; keep the board informed about the organization's needs and current trends in the coaching and mentorship sector.
Collaborate closely with leadership to recruit, train, and maintain a strong, balanced board of directors; support and encourage all volunteer initiatives.
Qualifications & SkillsA passion for BEC's mission and the ability to effectively communicate the mission, core values, and organizational impact to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ten or more years of experience in nonprofit leadership with increasing responsibilities.
A strong understanding of the communities BEC serves and a commitment to helping individuals successfully achieve their professional goals.
Expertise in employment practices, fundraising, and financial management.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills; strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills; demonstrated success in engaging with a diverse range of organizational constituents, community groups, political leaders, and clients.
Experience and comfort working with high-level donors and philanthropists.
The temperament and skills necessary to mentor and develop staff; a proven ability to inspire passion, vision, direction, business discipline, and motivation within the team.
Outstanding problem-solving and team-building skills, coupled with strong leadership, coordination, and analytical capabilities; ability to be agile and respond appropriately in varied situations.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A high level of comfort working with business technology.
