MIT Event Coordinator and Operations Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator and Operations Specialist to join our team at MIT. As an essential member of our events planning team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of various events while assisting with day-to-day operations.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with multiple teams to deliver seamless event experiences and efficient operational processes. You will contribute to hands-on projects relevant to the upkeep of event spaces and renovations as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the college
- Work closely with multiple teams to ensure seamless event experiences
- Contribute to hands-on projects related to event spaces and renovations
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of administrative, event, or operations support experience
- The ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- The ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities with limited supervision
- Strong Microsoft Office and PowerPoint presentation skills
- Experience with SAP and online calendar software
- A willingness to adapt to new systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency with EMS scheduling software and/or basic graphic design software
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
