Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Assistant II to provide financial support to the Dean for Student Life (DSL) accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes and policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and monitor supplier transactions, procurement, and internal provider billings
  • Develop an understanding of MIT's complex budgets, fiscal policies, and financial processes
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements
  • Work closely with DSL and other MIT staff and vendors
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years of work experience in accounting or finance
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • MIT work experience
Work Arrangement

The Finance and Accounting team maintains a hybrid (mostly remote) working arrangement, with the status to be reviewed periodically.
