At Re:Build Manufacturing, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Counsel to play a pivotal role in developing and managing the legal aspects of our commercial supply chain contracts.

This is a unique opportunity to join our legal team and make an immediate impact. As a trusted business partner, you will serve as a key individual contributor in our end-to-end contract management function, supporting the business and procurement team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate, and process complex capital equipment, manufacturing, and related procurement contracts.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to our procurement and capital equipment teams to support the supply chain and manufacturing of our products.
  • Help drive implementation of legal efficiencies and develop scalable contract processes, including best-in-class templates, negotiation playbooks, trainings, and policies.
  • Represent us legally in commercial interactions and disputes with suppliers, while balancing our business interests.
  • Provide proactive strategic advice and guidance to internal cross-functional teams regarding business and legal risks.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in the practice of commercial law. Preferred experience in manufacturing supply chain matters.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school, along with active membership in at least one state bar.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex supply agreements, development agreements, and related procurement contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, demonstrate diplomacy, and otherwise interact well with colleagues and management.
  • Highly disciplined with the ability to make independent decisions and work with limited supervision while excelling in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle and advance multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience with some combination of law firm and in-house in the automotive manufacturing industry is preferred.

What We Offer:

  • Base salary - US wide $119,012 - $255,165
  • Short-term and long-term incentive programs – 401k match, annual bonus, and company equity, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans, HSA/FSA.
