Job SummaryWe're seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Legal, Americas to oversee and manage all legal matters related to commercial transactions, contracts, regulatory compliance, and other legal issues affecting the Americas. You will strategically partner with sales leadership, providing proactive and effective legal support to enable the region to achieve their ambitious business goals.
Responsibilities:- Provide practical legal guidance on how to navigate rules and regulations for new deals and customers in the Americas
- Develop legal strategies to facilitate the rollout of our products to customers locally, regionally, and globally
- Support expansion and launches to customers in new markets
- Collaborate with the compliance and risk teams globally to align on Airwallex's policies
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial, financial service, and corporate law
- LLB, LLM, or Juris Doctor
- In-depth knowledge of the legal and business environment in the Americas region
- Outstanding negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated capability in managing and leading legal teams
Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law. The expected base pay range for this role is $150K - $235K, with offers of equity and bonus. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
