POSITION: Senior Site Civil Engineer

LOCATION: Remote options available within New York State

SUMMARY: M3 Placement is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Civil Engineer to enhance our client's multidisciplinary firm, which specializes in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Geology, Environmental, and Surveying services. This role focuses on the Renewable Energy sector, providing an exciting opportunity for innovative and motivated professionals dedicated to sustainability.

As a Senior Site Civil Engineer, you will be integral to various civil engineering projects within the Renewable Energy domain. Collaborating with a talented team of professionals, you will apply your expertise to design and implement effective solutions while promoting environmental stewardship.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop comprehensive designs for renewable energy projects, including site civil plans, engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Exhibit proficiency in site civil design and permitting processes, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and specialty consultants, providing necessary construction administration services.
  • Present projects to Planning Boards and secure necessary regulatory permits and approvals.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership by managing multiple projects within established budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance and Control procedures for project deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A strong commitment to renewable energy initiatives and excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Over ten years of relevant technical experience and training.
  • New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with land-use regulations and processes.
  • Experience with utility-scale and distributed generation renewable energy projects.
  • Background in Planning Board presentations.
  • GIS capabilities.
  • Extensive consulting engineering experience.
  • Experience in project and staff management.
  • Skills in proposal writing and business development.
