Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineering Discipline Lead to join our team in upstate New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians on a variety of design-build civil engineering projects for local, state, and federal agencies and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for a specialty
  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields
  • Make decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represent the organization in conferences
  • Resolve important questions and plans and coordinates work
  • Utilize advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines
  • Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters
  • Receives direction on unusual conditions and developments

Requirements

  • BA/BS Civil Engineering or similar degree
  • 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience with NYDOT / NYSTA standards
  • Familiarity with local, municipal and state clients
  • Design-build experience and familiarity with local contractors
