As a Senior Site Civil Engineer, you will engage in various aspects of civil engineering related to renewable energy initiatives, collaborating with a talented group of specialists across multiple disciplines. This position allows you to apply your creativity and expertise while advancing your career in a firm dedicated to the health and safety of communities and the environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design of renewable energy projects, producing site civil plans, engineering documentation, specifications, and other technical materials necessary for municipal permit submissions and construction documents.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in site civil design and permitting processes, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, maintain communication with clients and consultants, and provide necessary construction administration services.
  • Present at Planning Board meetings and secure regulatory permits and approvals.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering a collaborative and rewarding work environment.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to inspire teamwork and effectively manage multiple projects within established budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance and Control procedures for project deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A strong commitment to renewable energy initiatives and excellent communication abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Over ten years of relevant technical experience and training.
  • New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with land-use regulations and processes.
  • Experience with utility-scale and distributed generation renewable energy projects.
  • Background in Planning Board presentations.
  • GIS skills.
  • Extensive consulting engineering experience.
  • Project and staff management experience.
  • Experience in proposal writing and business development.

SCHEDULE & BENEFITS:
