Position Title: Bilingual Patient Service Representative

Compensation: $14.25/hour+

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 9 AM - 6 PM

Job Overview:

The role of the Patient Service Representative is an entry-level opportunity that offers a pathway to a fulfilling career within Nationwide Vision. Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet all patients and visitors, both in-person and via phone.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional phone demeanor, adhering to proper telephone etiquette.
  • Address inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a respectful manner.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean and organized.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information by collecting detailed personal and financial data.
  • Facilitate patient flow by informing providers of patient arrivals, monitoring delays, and communicating effectively with patients and clinical staff.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality by securing protected health information and logging off computers when unattended.

Supervisory Role:

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Experience in telephone etiquette, customer service, and proficiency in basic word processing and spreadsheet software. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Strong customer service skills and PC proficiency are essential. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Regular communication is required, and the employee may frequently need to stand, walk, use hands for various tasks, and reach with arms. The ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds is necessary.

Position Type:

This is a full-time role, with varying days and hours, including Saturday availability.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires minimal travel, expected to be less than 5%.
