Overview:
The Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator is an entry-level opportunity with potential for career advancement within Nationwide Vision. This role serves as a gateway to various career paths in patient care, management, corporate roles, billing, and beyond. We seek a motivated individual eager to contribute to a collaborative team and grow with a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors, both in-person and via phone.
- Maintain a professional and courteous phone demeanor while addressing inquiries from patients and visitors.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and organized.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information, including personal and financial details.
- Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals and communicating any delays to patients and clinical staff.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality by securing protected health information and logging off computers when unattended.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Proficiency in telephone etiquette, customer service, basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, effective time management, multitasking, organizational skills, and scheduling. A high school diploma or GED is required. Strong customer service skills and proficiency in PC usage are essential. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods is necessary.
Work Environment:
This role is situated in a professional office setting and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include regular communication and the ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds.
Position Type:
This is a full-time role with variable days and hours, including Saturday availability.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
