Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement and evaluate respiratory therapy plans, including pulmonary function testing and patient education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
  • Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • 2 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and current VT State license.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association and ACLS certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPFT certification or plan to acquire within 2 years.
  • Certified Asthma Educator certification or plan to acquire within 2 years.
