Job Overview

The Family and Youth Services Program Manager is pivotal in addressing the urgent and fundamental needs of families in the community. This role is responsible for comprehensive case management, guiding family navigators, managing client entry points, and coordinating market services. The Manager guarantees smooth access to essential services and leads a dedicated team focused on delivering holistic support, assisting families in navigating various assistance programs, and connecting them with critical resources.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the agency's mission and strategic objectives, contributing to their success.
  2. Ensure adherence to all agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Agency Handbook.
  3. Oversee comprehensive case management services tailored to the unique needs of families.
  4. Lead a team of family navigators and case managers, providing support in accessing vital services.
  5. Manage front desk operations to ensure an efficient client intake process and a welcoming atmosphere.
  6. Coordinate pantry operations, including inventory and volunteer management, to provide essential food resources.
  7. Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  8. Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  9. Participate in recruitment, hiring, and staff development for direct reports.
  10. Collaborate with community partners to enhance service offerings and resource accessibility.
  11. Develop strategies to meet the specific needs of youth in the community.
  12. Monitor program effectiveness, collecting data to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  13. Provide regular updates to the Youth Support and Intervention Director regarding program activities and challenges.
  14. Utilize data insights to identify improvement areas and support decision-making.
  15. Assist in budget planning and management for programs.
  16. Ensure resource efficiency and compliance with financial guidelines.
  17. Maintain accurate records of program activities and participant data.

Qualifications

Knowledge of:

  • Child development and family dynamics.

  • Program budgeting and financial management.

Special Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in case management or social services, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and navigate stairs is necessary.
