Position Overview

The Behavioral Support Technician will implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies to assist individuals with Autism and other developmental challenges across various environments, including home, educational, and community settings.

This role involves close collaboration with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to execute tailored treatment strategies aimed at enhancing the client's autonomy and functional skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct ABA therapy to clients.
  • Provide support in diverse settings such as schools, homes, and community locations.
  • Engage effectively with families and children from various backgrounds.
  • Gather and maintain data pertinent to ABA interventions.
  • Document daily activities and progress at the conclusion of each session.
  • Maintain open communication with caregivers and additional support personnel.
  • Ensure ongoing collaboration with the supervising BCBA.
  • Participate in supervision meetings with the BCBA.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized programs.
  • Undertake special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree or progress towards one is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience with children with developmental disabilities is advantageous. Background in teaching, tutoring, or applied behavior analysis is preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Credentialing as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Personal Attributes: Must be energetic, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate effective time management abilities.
