Overview:


As the Human Resources Strategic Partner for our Mid-Atlantic Division, you will collaborate with district and corporate leadership on talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, and legal compliance to align with Company and Project objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Engage closely with business leaders to anticipate resourcing needs and monitor employee job status to support District and project goals.


Oversee the District college recruiting initiative by partnering with student talent sourcing programs to ensure a consistent talent pool for project requirements.


Collaborate with the talent acquisition team in selecting candidates across all organizational levels.


Facilitate onboarding processes, including access, assets, and activities for District-level new hires and internal transfers, to create an engaging onboarding experience.


Investigate employee relations inquiries and issues following prescribed Company procedures, with support from the legal compliance team.


Conduct exit interviews for all departing employees using Company processes and interview collection tools.


Work with legal counsel on immigration matters to ensure compliance with Federal and State tax and documentation requirements.


Design and implement training programs for HR processes, project, state, or union-required topics within the District, under the guidance of your direct supervisor.


Schedule and lead HR training sessions covering Company systems, performance and compensation evaluations, compliance training, and Company programs. Provide insights and lead HR program initiatives from development to execution, as necessary.



Document and monitor employee relations issues within assigned projects or District to identify trends or training opportunities.


Recommend training and employee development activities based on identified trends and implement solutions in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.


Generate and submit employee information changes related to new hires, transfers, terminations, compensation, benefit enrollment, and demographic data updates through Company-prescribed workflows and systems.


Maintain a thorough understanding of Company values and strategic plans.


Support established corporate policies.



Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

7+ years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist is required.

Prior experience in Organizational Development/Organizational Effectiveness and change management is preferred.

Experience in the construction industry or a related field is preferred.

Project Management experience is preferred.

Certifications such as Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional of Human Resources (GPHR), or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) are preferred.

Valid Driver's License is required.

Ability to build relationships with internal and external business contacts is essential.

Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, with or without authority, is necessary.

Strong time-management skills are required, with the ability to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines or sensitive situations.

Proven track record of partnering with leaders to provide human capital solutions is essential.

Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance is required.

Developing critical-thinking and analytical skills is necessary.

Strong verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.

Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employment records, inquiries, medical information, investigations, and other employment-related matters is essential.
