The HR Business Partner (HRBP), Direct Sales, is responsible for aligning business objectives — with an emphasis on recruiting, growth, expansion, and internal customer service — with employees and management for a field-based direct sales team. This role formulates partnerships across the human resources (HR) function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that facilitates growth, problem-solving, and compliance that reflects the business objectives and core values of Kerecis.


The HRBP is based in the Arlington, Virginia, Kerecis office and reports to the Director, Global Human Resources & Recruiting. This is a full-time, in-office role.


Essential Functions

  • Function as the HR point of contact for the direct sales team members of an assigned business unit
  • Support, monitor and enforce annual compliance trainings for assigned direct sales employees
  • Ensure that onboarding for assigned direct sales employees is completed according to schedule
  • Partner with Medical Strategy and Knowledge Advancement to ensure that assigned direct sales team members have completed required training, including retraining
  • Serve as the main representative of Global HR & Recruiting for the assigned business unit
  • Provide daily HR support to the assigned direct sales team
  • Provide performance management guidance to regional and senior sales management of the assigned business unit (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Utilize knowledge of various HR functions to provide tactical support to regional and senior direct sales managers of the assigned business unit
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Act as liaison with other HR functions
  • Provide change management support as needed

Secondary Functions

  • Provide HR policy guidance to direct sales members of the assigned business unit
  • Work closely with management and employees of the assigned business unit to promote Kerecis core values, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Meet weekly with relevant managers, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Analyze business unit trends and metrics to help develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements, including local state laws, related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with the legal department as needed / required
  • Identify training needs and partner with MSKA and HR program managers to facilitate training solutions for the direct sales team of the assigned business unit and address any individual executive coaching needs
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; follow up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Other responsibilities and tasks, including ad hoc administrative support, as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum three to five years of HR experience
  • Experience with direct sales teams a plus
  • Working knowledge of HR disciplines
  • SHRM or HRCI credential preferred
