Job Title: Building Maintenance and Repair Specialist

**Job Summary:**

The City of Oklahoma City is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our Recreation, Health and Wellness Division within the Parks and Recreation Department. This role is responsible for performing semi-skilled building maintenance and repair tasks involving the use of power tools and equipment, and the operation of light automotive equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Inspect, service, maintain, and/or perform repairs on City facilities and equipment
  • Fill assigned work orders
  • Complete safety and work status reports, inspection sheets, and other related reports and forms on a daily basis
  • Act in a lead worker capacity over part-time crews

**Requirements:**

  • Valid driver license (Operator) required
  • Ability to acquire necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform departmental specific tasks prior to assuming duties
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application

**Benefits:**

  • Hourly rate: $15.25
  • City employees receive pay electronically, either via direct deposit or pay card

**Background and Testing:**

  • Criminal history background check for external applicants
  • Motor Vehicle Report for internal and external applicants (if position includes a driver license)
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy for safety-sensitive and/or driving positions
  • Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Interstate Identification Index (III) Fingerprint Background check for cyber security sensitive positions
