Job Overview

As an Automotive Body Repair Specialist, you will play a vital role in our collision repair facility, ensuring that vehicles are restored to their original condition with precision and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Aligning and fitting vehicle panels
  • Disassembling and reassembling vehicles
  • Performing block sanding on primed surfaces
  • Masking and priming areas for repair
  • Applying body filler to damaged sections
  • Measuring, pulling, and straightening frames
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized workspace
  • Cutting, fitting, and welding replacement components
  • Restoring vehicles to pre-accident conditions
  • Meeting company standards for efficiency and quality
  • Maintaining repair equipment for optimal performance
  • Inspecting all vehicle parts scheduled for repair
  • Identifying necessary repairs to minimize additional costs
  • Executing work as specified in repair orders with accuracy
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Applying seam sealers and corrosion protection according to manufacturer specifications
  • Reviewing repair orders before commencing work on vehicles
  • Conducting inspections and test drives of repaired vehicles to ensure safety and quality compliance
  • Performing physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed
  • Adhering to high-quality standards to reduce defects and exceed expectations
  • Tracking assigned vehicles and maintaining schedules for delivery
  • Engaging in tasks such as lifting, welding, preparing, sanding, taping, masking, and cleaning vehicles before painting
  • Understanding safe handling and disposal of materials, along with knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Communicating effectively with team members to ensure quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning through participation in industry training programs.
