Job Overview

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of all properties managed by Red Rock Behavioral Health Services. This role involves identifying maintenance needs, executing repairs, and coordinating with external contractors when necessary to maintain compliance with safety standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work environments.
  • Proactively assess and address maintenance issues across all properties, submitting requests for external assistance when required.
  • Perform basic repairs in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, as well as painting and janitorial services.
  • Evaluate landscaping and lawn conditions, collaborating with contractors to optimize irrigation and maintenance.
  • Utilize a computerized system to manage and track work orders efficiently.
  • Ensure all facility equipment operates safely and effectively, addressing any hazards immediately.
  • Prepare properties for inspections and ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations.
  • Support office relocations and oversee contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to agreements.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
  • Travel to various locations as assigned.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 70 lbs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in maintenance or facilities management.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including internet research for parts procurement.
  • Familiarity with TRANE software controls is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain effective relationships with staff and the community.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and focused on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
