United Vein & Vascular Centers is a pioneering healthcare organization that is rapidly expanding access to cutting-edge, minimally invasive vein and vascular care across the country. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Business Development, Senior Living to lead our team of Physician Liaisons in growing revenue and market share in the Senior Living/OBL space.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead a team of Physician Liaisons to achieve revenue growth and market share objectives in the Senior Living/OBL space.
- Business Development: Develop and launch United Vein & Vascular Centers' services to Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), Intermediate Care Facilities (ILF), and Skilled Nursing facilities.
- Performance Management: Ensure consistent team member performance in accordance with training and assigned deployment objectives.
- Talent Acquisition: Screen, recruit, and make hiring decisions in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
- Training and Development: Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Training, Clinical, and COO to develop, implement, and evolve training programs for Physician/Clinical Liaisons.
- Coaching and Development: Actively coach team members through ride-alongs, typically every 6-8 weeks (requires regular travel, up to 50% of time).
- Sales Strategy: Ensure that all team members effectively and consistently navigate the referral relationship funnel/sales cycle.
- Communication and Messaging: Create transparent and clear communications/messaging strategy for each designated territory and ensure effective deployment via Physician Team.
- Team Strategy and Planning: Conduct regular team strategy and planning meetings with team and each individual team member.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct all performance reviews and set clear performance and developmental objectives for each team member.
- Financial Management: Actively participate in development of annual, quarterly, and monthly growth objectives and partners closely with Physician Team to determine the portfolio of referrals that can be earned from targeted physicians/practices.
- Data Analysis: Leverage data to analyze and evaluate effectiveness of strategies and teams/team member performance against outlined budgets/objectives.
- Market and Competitor Intelligence: Monitor and report market and competitor information.
- Financial Reporting: Develop and report financial/budget performance.
- Relationship Building: Partner with internal and external Physicians to understand the motivations and needs that serve as accelerants or barriers to referral growth and identify opportunities to eliminate barriers and capitalize on strengths.
- Process Improvement: Partner with Marketing and Operational leadership on workflow improvements and implement new team member assignments to ensure appropriate infrastructure is in place to support successful referral growth.
- Best Practices: Share best practices and program enhancements to accelerate the evolution of all referral efforts across United Vein & Vascular Centers.
- Compliance: Ensure all team members are compliant with all organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Expense Management: Manage and approve expense reports for all team members.
- Company Culture: Demonstrate and promote a work culture committed to United Vein & Vascular Centers' Core Values: Understanding, Nurturing, Ingenuity, Trust, Excellence, and Diversity.
- Education: Minimum of BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Public Affairs, or a related field. MBA or other related graduate degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in outside sales, business development, or related experience. Minimum of 3-5 years working with medical professionals and/or medical Operations/Marketing.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with Senior Living Facilities: ALF, ILF, Skilled Nursing.
- Business Acumen: Experience with budgeting, reporting, and data analysis.
- Market Intelligence: Demonstrated ability to utilize market data and field intelligence to uncover and capitalize on new market opportunities and achieve sustained referral growth by navigating the referral relationship funnel/sales cycle.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of the healthcare industry and regulatory environment. Ability to understand and comply with all regulatory requirements of position, including HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and Stark Laws.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff to achieve results.
- Team Management: Demonstrated ability to organize and direct a team to meet business objectives.
- Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to reach decisions, take appropriate action, and follow through to progress the team.
- Communication: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and team building skills with demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects and teams.
- Discretion: Must ensure discreet and confidential handling of all business and understand regulatory guidelines.
- CRM Experience: Experience with CRM systems Preferred Salesforce.
- Reliability: Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
