Position Overview
Johnson Controls is excited to offer a graduate internship opportunity within our Human Resources department. This internship is designed to enhance the overall experience of our employees and contribute to the HR team's initiatives.

The HR Graduate Intern will engage in various HR activities and projects that support the broader HR function.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the HR Solutions and Employee Services Lead, you will:

  • Assist HR Generalists and Managers with daily HR operations, including employee transitions, organizational adjustments, and standard HR reporting.
  • Participate in HR initiatives and projects.
  • Support recruitment efforts by representing the company at career fairs and recruitment events.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities such as sports tournaments, holiday celebrations, wellness programs, and community events.
  • Organize wellness, vendor, and health fairs/events.
  • Contribute to the global Merit and Service awards program and local recognition initiatives.
  • Manage employee discount and service offerings across all business units.
  • Oversee community involvement programs for division staff.
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation for employees based in the Milwaukee area.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the HR Solutions and Employee Services team.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Human Resources or an MBA.
  • Located in the Milwaukee area and available to work 30-40 hours per week throughout the year.
  • Willingness to assist with evening and weekend events as necessary.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Proven capability to coordinate, plan, and implement programs and initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Junior standing is preferred.
