As an HR Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Staying informed about legal standards and government reporting requirements that influence human resources operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and confirming payroll modifications from various locations and updating the master file in the digital system.
  • Documenting and entering payroll adjustments, including garnishments, deductions, wage assignments, and bonuses into the digital system.
  • Processing timecards with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy before inputting into the computerized system.
  • Conducting orientation sessions for new hires to promote a positive outlook towards organizational objectives.
  • Maintaining records of benefits participation, personnel changes, and employee statistics for compliance reporting.
  • Training management on best practices for interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance evaluations, safety protocols, and workplace conduct.
  • Providing guidance to management on resolving employee relations matters effectively.
  • Addressing inquiries related to policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Overseeing the performance review process to ensure it is effective, compliant, and equitable.
  • Managing benefits programs, including life, health, dental, and disability insurance, pension plans, and leave policies.
  • Preparing documentation for employee separations and conducting exit interviews to understand the reasons for departures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in payroll administration and processing.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
