Role Summary:
As a Low Voltage Project Manager within the Fire Protection sector, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects involving low voltage systems, such as fire alarms, communication networks, and security solutions. This position requires collaboration with clients, management of project teams, and coordination with other project coordinators and operations managers to ensure seamless project execution that adheres to industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans detailing scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and all related documentation thoroughly.
- Conduct site assessments to confirm field conditions and compile preliminary material lists.
- Generate material orders based on approved project designs.
- Oversee installation processes, equipment, tools, and materials.
- Client Communication:
- Introduce yourself to clients and general contractors as the Project Manager.
- Maintain regular communication with engineers until drawings are finalized and verify their accuracy.
- Provide consistent updates regarding project status, milestones, and any challenges encountered.
- Lead weekly safety meetings to ensure compliance and safety awareness.
- Address client inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Guide and support team members to facilitate timely project completion.
- Conduct training sessions for on-site management personnel.
- Scheduling:
- Organize inspections, including rough, final, and acceptance testing.
- Create installation and testing schedules as stipulated in contracts.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, completion percentages, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports covering financials, progress metrics, and outcomes.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and national fire safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to confirm installations meet company standards and client expectations.
- Resolve any technical issues or discrepancies that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor project risks and ensure timely resolution of issues impacting project success.
- Additional Duties:
- Travel to project sites as necessary.
- Perform other assigned tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing low voltage systems projects, with at least 2 years in a project management capacity preferred.
- Required certifications: F-Card, NICET, OSHA-30, Lift, CPR, and Siemens (or equivalent) Programming Certifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and engineering software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Dependable and adaptable, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
